Atwater, Minn.'s., Tanner blanks Brownton with 2-hitter

ATWATER -- A two-run single by Atwater's Jeff Peterson in the second put the first two on the board and started the Chuckers on the way to a 4-0 win over Brownton at Kingery Field on Tuesday.

Peterson took both second and third on one wild pitch and rushed home on a wild throw to third to make it 3-0.

Jordan Tanner's two-hit pitching with seven strikeouts made it stand. Ryan Walsh had three of the Chuckers' five hits.

Atwater (6-8) will host County Line rival Paynesville today at 7:30 p.m. in a makeup.
