Authorities advise no travel as winter storm spreads across region

WILLMAR - Authorities in Kandiyohi County are advising no travel tonight as a major winter storm contines to spread across the region.

Kandiyohi County pulled its snow plows off county roads late this afternoon.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation reported difficult driving conditions in the entire southern third of the state, with heavy snow, blowing and drifting snow and poor visibility.

A blizzard warning is in effect until noon Monday for areas west of a line from Alexandria to Willmar.
