Participants begin their trek Thursday around Foot Lake in Willmar during the area's first Awareness Walk for Mental Health. The walk was sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Illness in Kandiyohi County. The National Alliance on Mental Illness is a mental health advocacy organization.
