INNEAPOLIS (AP) -- U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann and a fellow conservative rock star are kicking off Bachmann's 2010 election campaign.

Former Vice President Sarah Palin is sharing a Minneapolis Convention Center stage with the Minnesota Republican. She's also the main attraction at a Wednesday dinner fundraiser that costs a minimum of $500 to get in the door.

The Minnesota Republican party gave away more than 10,000 tickets to party faithful for the rally. Party officials say the packed convention hall is a sign that Republicans are fired up for the 2010 congressional elections.

Palin and Bachmann attracted other Republican big names to Minneapolis. Fox News host Sean Hannity is broadcasting his TV show from the convention floor and Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty is also speaking.
