Barn fire north of Brooten, Minn., under investigation

BROOTEN -- A fire that burned a barn just north of Brooten Thursday evening is under investigation by the Stearns County Sheriff's office.

According to Sheriff John Sanner, deputies and the Brooten fire department and ambulance were called around 7:20 p.m. Thursday to 25711 County Road 18 in Crow Lake Township. Upon arrival, the barn was fully engulfed and was a total loss. There were few items of value stored in the barn and no one was injured.
