BELGRADE -- One more win and the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa boys basketball team can claim the Central Minnesota Conference by itself.

By upending Eden Valley-Watkins 65-49 Friday, BBE earned at least a share of the conference title, its first-ever in boys basketball.

Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted and Pierz are one game behind at 11-3, but if the Jaguars (11-2, 21-4) take care of business on its home court today against Kimball, they will have the title outright.

BBE used a quick 8-0 run to open the second half to expand on its slim 23-22 lead at halftime.

Jared McCleary had 22 points, Shane Weller 16 and Mike Rodgers 12 to help BBE shoot 60 percent (25-for-42) from the field and win its third straight.

Rodgers also dished out eight assists and Matt Goodwin collected six assists and four steals.
