BBE's perfect season snuffed by Springfield

MINNEAPOLIS _The Springfield Tigers dashed BBE's hopes for a perfect season on Saturday at Target Center with a 70-58 victory in the Class A championship game.

The Jaguars, No. 1-ranked, finish 32-1.

The Tigers (26-3) won their first-ever championship in basketball.

The Jaguars, who trailed 27-26 at half, shot poorly both inside, outside (2-for-27) and at the line (2-for-11).

For BBE, Kevin Kuefler finished with 20 points, 14 by halftime. Connor Goodwin put in 13 points. Those two grabbed a combimed 33 rebounds.

Jesse Kieper, a guard, scored 25 points to lead the Tigers.
