BBLH boys win at home

OLIVIA -- The BOLD boys scored 165.5 points to win their own invitational track and field meet Tuesday.

Sleepy Eye held off Renville County West for first place in the girls division.

The Warriors had only two first-place finishes. Brent O'Halloran won the pole vault by clearing 10 feet. Dustin Caspers took the discus throw title by throwing 125-6. But BOLD/BLH finished second six times: Mitch Neubauer took second in the 100-meter dash in 11.96, the long jump with a leap of 18 feet and the triple jump, crossing 36-9. O'Halloran was second in the 200 in 24.06. Kyle Schulte was the runner-up in the 3,200 in 11:25. Nathan Toren cleared 5-8 to take second in the high jump.

Briana Wubben of Central Minnesota Christian won three events: the 100 (12.52), high jump (5-3) and the long jump (15-6½).
