Belgrade man hurt in motorcycle crash near St. Martin, Minn.

ST. CLOUD -- A 49-year-old Belgrade man was taken to the Albany Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash around 8:40 p.m. Sunday northwest of St. Martin.

According to a news release from Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner, Mark C. Olmscheid was driving a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on County Road 12 near County Road 11, when he lost control of the cycle on a curve and ran off the road into a cornfield.

A sheriff's deputy on routine patrol came upon the accident before it was called into law enforcement. The crash remains under investigation.

Also responding was the St. Martin Fire Department and the Melrose Ambulance.
