In one of 10 boxing matches late Saturday afternoon held in a rented ring at Pep’s Sports Bar, Tony Narro, left, of the Grafton, N.D., Boxing Club and Fernando Zavala of the Willmar club fought an action-packed, three-round bout at 115 pounds. In a split decision, Narro’s arm is raised by referee Chris Holt as Zavala claps. A full-house of upwards of 150 boxing fans turned out for the first amateur matches in about 27 years in the city. Willmar winners were Anthony Duran, Alex Duran, Lupe Navarro, Diamond Tello (TKO) and Eloy Zavala. Amber Castellano lost by decision.
