Benefit account established for Arndt, hurt in motorcycle crash
WILLMAR — An account for the benefit of Wayne Arndt, 62, of Willmar, has been established at Heritage Bank in Willmar.
Arndt was injured in a motorcycle-car crash reported around 1:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Minnesota Avenue and Second Street Southeast. According to his family, Arndt was run over by the car involved in the crash and he was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of multiple injuries.
According to Heidi Shaffer, Arndt's daughter, he suffered numerous broken ribs and other internal injuries. She said he is in critical but stable condition.
The driver of the other vehicle in the crash, Bonnie Franzen, 62, of Spicer, was not injured in the crash. She was cited by the Willmar Police Department for failure to yield.
