Benson native named to NCAA D-II track All-Academic Team
Former Benson High School standout runner Kendra Mooberry is among 311 student-athletes named to the NCAA Division II All-Academic Tack and Field Team.
Mooberry is a Minnesota State University-Moorhead sophomore, and she is among six Dragons named to the team.
Mooberry, who is majoring in Biology with an emphasis in Health Sciences, was one of the top sprinters for the Dragons this winter and spring. She narrowly missed the NCAA Championships in the 400-meter hurdles as she put up the best time in the NSIC with a time of 1:02.53 at the Cobber Sunny Day Meet this spring. qualify for the All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met an NCAA qualifying mark.
