Benson teen at Crashed Ice

Jake Huston, a senior at Benson High School, was ranked second in his heat that included two international qualifiers Friday in the National Shootout at the Red Bull Crashed Ice World Championships in St. Paul.

He finished third overall, but his time was not fast enough to advance.

Huston placed 19th in Thursday's qualifying.

The top 64 racers in both the National Shootout Thursday and the International Shoot Out Friday afternoon will compete in the Elimination Round today.

The Finals will start at 7 p.m.
