MONTEVIDEO -- Berdella Mildred Rupp, 90, of Montevideo, died Saturday.
The service will be at 11 a.m. today at Hazel Run Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.
Arrangements are by Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield.
She was born March 12, 1918, in Montevideo to Alfred and Olga (Swenson) Raddohl. The family moved to the Hazel Run area. She attended Hazel Run Public School and Clarkfield High School.
She married Vernon Rupp on Nov. 24, 1936. She farmed with her husband. They lived at the Upper Sioux Agency for six years before moving to their Clarkfield farm in 1948. They moved to her parents' farm near Hazel Run in 1970. She continued to farm after her husband's death in 1987. She moved to an assisted living home in Olivia in 1998 and moved in November to Home Front in Montevideo.
She was a 4-H leader. She was a charter member of the Roadside Garden Club in Yellow Medicine County. She was a member of Hazel Run Lutheran Church, a Sunday school teacher and active in ladies aide and Luther League. She organized the Clarkfield Square Dance Club. She was a member of the Hazel Run Fiddle Footers and a saddle club.
She is survived by her daughters: Sandra (and Bob) Weber of Granite Falls and Zona (and Roger) Larson of Clarkfield; eight grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a great-grandson; and one brother.
