Bernadine Lund July 23, 1915 - May 29, 2009
GLENWOOD -- Bernadine Beatrice Lund, 93, of Glenwood, died Friday at the Glenwood Retirement Village.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at East Zion Lutheran Church in rural Starbuck with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born July 23, 1915, in Emerald Township, Fairbault County, to Carl and Josephine (Ellingson) Bottelson She attended District 22 country school and high school in Blue Earth.
She married Eldon Lund on July 11, 1936. They lived near Starbuck. She was a member of East Zion Lutheran Church and the ladies aid, taught Sunday school and participated in other church activities. She was a homemaker and worked at Fingerhut in Benson for many years. She moved to Glenwood and, most recently, to the Glenwood Village Care Center.
She is survived by her children: Francis (and Janice) Lund of Oregon City, Ore., Mark Lund of Glenwood, Marilyn (and Walter) Anderson of Oregon City, Ore., and Rebecca Nelson (and James Codner) of Glenwood; 11 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; son: Robert Lund; son-in-law: Ardell Nelson; two grandsons; four sisters; and one brother.
