Bernadine Stanek Aug. 11, 1934 - July 6, 2009
MILAN -- Bernadine Joan Stanek, 74, of Milan died Monday at Ortonville Area Health Services.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Big Bend Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
She was born Aug. 11, 1934, in Redwood County to Clarence and Evelyn (Pickett) Rucktaeschel. She graduated from Wabasso High School in 1952.
She married Adrian Jenniges on Feb. 11, 1953.
She married John Stanek on Nov. 19, 1975, in Huron, S.D. She lived in the Morgan and Wabasso areas and worked at the Wabasso Health Care Center. She lived and farmed in the Wanda and Lamberton areas and worked as a bartender in Wanda. In 1983, they moved to the Milan area. She was a member of Big Bend Lutheran Church and its women's groups.
She is survived by eight children: Stacy Stanek (and Tami Zenk) of Milan, Adriane (and David) Harper of Montevideo, Janet (and Bruce) Erickson of Raymond, Lois (and Dan) Gahler of Madelia, Myrland Jenniges of Tyler, Wayne (and Cindi) Jenniges of New London, Roger (and Patti) Jenniges of Springfield and Russ Jenniges of Spicer; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings: Kenneth (and Alna) Rucktaeschel of Morris, Duane (and Mary Ann) Rucktaeschel of Avon, S.D.; and Geraldine (and Delbert) Kruse of Stillwater.
She was preceded in death by her husbands and one brother.
