Bernice Anderson July 13, 1915 - Sept. 30, 2009

WILLMAR -- Bernice Olive Anderson, 94, of Willmar died Wednesday at Bethesda Pleasant View Nursing Home in Willmar.

The service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Green Lake Lutheran Church in rural Spicer. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Green Lake Funeral Home in Spicer. Memorials are preferred to the Living Hope Broadcast at Green Lake Lutheran Church or Rice Hospice.

She was born July 13, 1915, in Minot, N.D., to Andrew and Anna (Nelson) Hegreberg. In 1920, her family moved to Green Lake Township. She attended District 51 School and Willmar High School.

She married Alloys Anderson on Dec. 19, 1935. They lived in rural Spicer, where they farmed until 1954 when they moved into Spicer. She moved to Bethesda Pleasant View Nursing Home in Willmar in 1999. She was a member of Green Lake Lutheran Church where she was a member and past president of the Women's Missionary Society and a member of the sewing circle.

She is survived by her six children: Betty (and Carl) Deisting of Willmar, Ranleigh (and Julie) Anderson of Willmar, Robert Anderson of Minneapolis, James Anderson of Minneapolis, Kenton Anderson of Sunburg and Kay (and Ed) Rutkowski of Baltimore, Md.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987, six brothers and four sisters.
