WILLMAR -- Betty R. Bratsch, 79, of Willmar, died Monday at her home.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Willmar. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born July 12, 1929, in St. Leo to Bernard and Elizabeth (Unzen) Eischens. She attended St. Leo Catholic School through the seventh grade. Her family moved to a farm south of Olivia and she graduated from Olivia High School in 1947. She moved to Minneapolis where she received her nursing training in 1948 and was a nurse in Marshall from 1948 until 1950.
She married Willis Bratsch on April 12, 1950, in Willmar. They lived in Olivia until 1967 when they moved to Rosemount and, in 1982, they moved to Clear Lake, Iowa. She retired from nursing in 1991 and they moved to Nest Lake, near Spicer. In 1994, they moved into Willmar.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she helped with Meals on Wheels, envelope stuffing and bringing the gifts forward at communion.
She is survived by her husband; children: Gary (and Susan) Bratsch of East Glacier, Mont., Sandra (and Bob) Johnson of Willmar, Kathy Bratsch of Cantonment, Fla.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings: Eldred (and Anna Mae) Eischens and Mary Brill, all of Willmar.
She was preceded in death by daughter: Cindy; one great-grandson; and two brothers.
