MORRIS -- Beverly Ann Murphy, 77, of Alexandria, formerly of Morris, died Wednesday at her home after a battle with cancer.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Morris.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday with a rosary at 7 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church.

She was born Aug. 26, 1931, in Morris to Jacob and Alice (Degendorfer) Henrichs. She grew up on a farm in Rendsville Township and attended rural school and graduated from Morris High School in 1949. She then worked at Harts Grocery and Knowles Department Store.

She married Raymond Murphy on May 23, 1953, in Morris. They farmed in Horton Township, Stevens County, until 1987 when they moved to Rogers, Ark. She worked at R and J's Restaurant as a hostess for 14 years. In 2002, they retired in Alexandria. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Morris and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria.

She is survived by her husband; children: Mark (and Jane) Murphy of Eureka Springs, Ark., Craig (and Joanie) Murphy of Morris, Jeanne (and Terry) Hetland of Osakis, Mary (and Ron) Krueger of Alexandria, Tom (and Ruth) Murphy of Rogers, Ark., Pat Murphy of Eureka Springs, Ark., Colleen (and Curt) Schaffran of Apple Valley, Alice (and Bruce) Bosek of Lowry; 18 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings: Jeanette (and Jim) Saunders of Benson, Patsy Bludorn (and friend Denis Feneis) of St. Cloud, Virginia (and Gary) Brumm of Perham, Delbert (and Bev) Henrichs of New Richmond, Wis., Roger (and Kathy) Henrichs of Huntley, Mont., and Perry (and Pricilla) Henrichs of Morris.

She was preceded in death by one sister.
