Big Stone County man files in special election for district 20 state senate

CORRELL -- A Big Stone County man active in the DFL Party filed as a candidate to serve the remainder of the District 20 state Senate seat held by the late Gary Kubly.

John Schultz, Correll, filed as a candidate in the special election, according to the Minnesota Secretary of State.

Schultz had previously sought his party's endorsement for the district 20A state representative seat held by Andrew Falk, DFL-Murdock.

Filing remains open through 5 p.m. Tuesday for the special election. The special election in Senate District 20 will be held on April 10.
