Blizzard warning issued for much of west central Minnesota until 4 a.m. Friday
A blizzard warning is now in effect for portions of west central Minnesota through 4 a.m. Friday morning.
The National Weather Service in Chanhassen has upgraded the winter storm warning to a blizzard warning for the counties of Yellow Medicine, Chippewa, Lac qui Parle, Stevens, Pope, Douglas and Todd.
Cities included in the blizzard warning include Canby, Montevideo, Appleton, Morris, Glenwood, Alexandria and Long Prairie.
