Blomkest man faces assault charge for beating woman early Sunday morning

WILLMAR -- A 37-year-old Blomkest man made his first court appearance Monday on a third-degree assault charge for allegedly beating up a woman early Sunday morning.


Unconditional bail was set at $40,000 for Francisco Javier Tamez Jr. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of domestic assault. His next appearance in Kandiyohi County District Court is March 8.
