WILLMAR -- Icy patches and blowing snow in west central and southwest Minnesota are making driving conditions difficult in some places.
Much of the region is rated as fair by the Minnesota Department of Transportation, and scattered roadways are rated as difficult. State Patrol Sgt. Jesse Grabow has reported on Twitter today that troopers have been responding to vehicles off the roadway, as shown in the photo here by Hawick.
The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities said earlier today that patchy blowing snow across west central and south central Minnesota would cause reduced visibility and drifting in open stretches today and tonight.
