NEW LONDON -- The body of a 53-year-old white male was found around noon Tuesday in the Crow River at New London. According to a news release from Kandiyohi County Sheriff Dan Hartog, a construction worker at the site where the new dam is being built on the river found the body in the river just north of the new dam site.

Responding deputies found the man deceased and the county coroner was then called to the scene.

There appear to be no signs of foul play, but the body was sent to the Anoka County Medical Examiner's office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of relatives.

Work on the dam was continuing Tuesday afternoon.
