BOLD voters extend $700 levy

OLIVIA -- In BOLD, the district that serves the communities of Bird Island, Olivia and Lake Lillian, voters approved extending an existing $700-per-pupil levy for six years.

The vote tally was 607 yes and 104 no votes, according to Superintendent Tom Farrell.

"We are very pleased to see the support for the BOLD schools," he said Tuesday evening.

The levy represents $556,000 in revenue for the district.
