Boxing: 2 Willmar females debut at Wadena Golden Glove bouts

WADENA — The Willmar Golden Gloves Boxing Club fought three bouts at the National Guard Armory in Wadena on Saturday evening.
It was the boxing debut for two females.

At 155-pounds, Caitlyn “Kat” Brabender, 23, faced Kira Ollila of Wadena, who was competing in her fifth fight. Kat was unable to penetrate Ollila’s long reach and rebuff her attacks with hard right jabs.
