Boys Basketball: ACGC jumps Albany, 74-59

GROVE CITY -- Joel Slinden had 20 points and 20 rebounds with five 3-pointers and Jordan Tanner netted 25 more points -- 21 in the second half -- for Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City as the Falcons rallied past Albany 74-59 in a non-conference boys basketball Monday.

Albany, which entered the game one win shy of 20 for the season, raced to a 37-27 lead at halftime. But the Falcons, behind Tanner and Slinden's combined 33 points, outscored the Huskies 47-22 in the second half to end the regular season on a high note.

The Falcons (14-12) shot just under 50 percent (26-for-55) from the field and made 17 more trips to the free-throw line than Albany (19-6). Kurtis Huisman collected 10 points, eight rebounds and five steals for the Falcons.
