HOLDINGFORD — Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa knocked off Holdingford 73-32 on Thursday to go to 6-0.

The Jaguars now can turn their full attention to Christmas followed two days later by the Granite City Classic where they will encounter Sartell on Dec. 27 and then Class AAAA champion Apple Valley the next night — billed by Breakdown Sports as the marquee game of the two-day, 14-game hoops festival in St. Cloud.

The Jags were up 47-16 by the break. Brian Goodwin poured in 26 points to lead the scoring (the senior guard set a school single-game record scoring 46 points against Minneapolis North last Saturday).

Billy Borgerding added 13 points and James Kuefler 6 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals.

Jeremy Springer paced the Huskers with 10 points.

Montevideo committed a foul with no time left and Melrose’s Seth Noll made a free throw to give the Dutchmen the overtime win.
