BENSON -- All Benson needed was a little shove in the right direction against BOLD Monday in a West Central South Conference boys basketball game.

It came from Brennan Kent as the Braves beat the Warriors, 69-58.

BOLD (2-6, 4-8) had taken a 34-33 lead into the halftime break, but Benson (5-4, 8-7) started to pull away after Kent hit a couple of three-pointers and the Braves turned up the defensive heat on the Warriors with a three-quarter court press.

Aaron Lindahl scored 35 points to lead the Braves. Kent added 15 points and Steven James pulled down seven rebounds.

Tyler Hebrink paced BOLD's first-half surge with 18 points. He finished with a team-high 26 points. Trent Neisen added a double-double of 12 points and 11 boards. He also had six assists.

Shane Bosek scored 21 points and Pierce Peters 19 to lead the Lakers (3-5, 5-8). Bosek also pulled down seven rebounds and Ben Peterson had seven assists.

Eric Paulson sank five 3-pointers and scored 17 points to pace the Eagles (2-6, 3-10). Chase Keimig followed with 11 points.

Redwood Valley gunners sank 14 three-pointers. Sam Knutson drilled 6 of 13 from outside the arc as the Cardinals adjusted their sights for tonight's Southwest Conference foe Marshall, also at Redwood Falls.

Brian Kohler and Mike Felt each hit a trio of threes and J.T. Radel sank a pair.

The Cardinals, who snapped a two-game losing streak, are tied for first in the Southwest with Worthington, both at 7-1.
