Boys basketball: Boike, MACCRAY drub BOLD


BIRD ISLAND — MACCRAY jumped out to a 15-3 lead with numerous takeaways in the BOLD backcourt and didn’t let up, taking down the Warriors 66-56 in a non-conference game Tuesday.

Bailey Boike paced the Wolverines (12-5) with 25 points and 13 rebounds, and Taylor Thissen added 14 points, 3 steals and 10 assists.

The Wolverines shot 54 percent on 27 of 47. An 8-0 run to start the second half gave the visitors a double-digit lead that eventually grew to 20 at one point.
