WILLMAR — The Willmar Cardinals shot 50 percent and outboarded Dassel-Cokato 46-35 to grab their first win 75-48 on Thursday night at Willmar High School.

Adam Nibaur led the effort with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 blocked shots. A dozen players scored for the Cards.

Nibaur scored 13 first-half points to lead the Cardinals to a 21-point halftime lead.

Next up is another non-conference game against Hutchinson on Saturday evening in the Cardinal gym.

Joel Carter finished with 13 points and Tyler Stegeman 10.

Trent Thinesen and Dalton Asplin each scored 10 points for the Chargers.
