EDEN VALLEY — Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa collected its second 30-point win in as many days Friday by throttling Central Minnesota Conference foe Eden Valley-Watkins 77-47.

The Class A top-ranked Jaguars (4-0, 9-1) shot just 43 percent from the field, but they were 17-for-20 at the free throw line and had a plus-13 advantage in rebounds.

Brian Goodwin and Billy Borgerding both netted 18 points for BBE with Tanner Heinsius following with 13. Nick Benton added a near double-double with 9 points and 9 rebounds, while Goodwin dished out 7 assists, Borgerding hooked 7 boards and Heinsius and Benton both pocketed 3 steals.

BBE is off until Tuesday when it hosts Melrose for a non-conference game.

Troy Diggins was on fire in the Granite Falls gym. The 6-foot-3 sophomore guard sank 12 of 13 two-point attempts and 6 of 10 free throws to finish with 33 points in the Thunder Hawk triumph.

The Hawks made 15 of 20 floor attempts the first half in springing to a 41-25 lead over the Sting.

Chase Richter had a sure eye for Yellow Medicine East. The junior forward hit 7 of 8 from the field and all three of his shots at the line for 17 points. Logan DeBlieck added 14 points on 6 of 7 makes.

YME shot 47 percent overall. Monte hit 19 of 25 at the line (76 percent).
