Boys basketball: Litchfield tops Melrose

MELROSE -- Litchfield broke out with a 49-point second half and rolled past Melrose 85-66 in a non-conference game Tuesday.

Mitch Wollin led the Dragons (19-5) with 23 points.

Zach Kinny had 11 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists and 3 steals.

Zach Whitchurch added 18 points and Jon Terning had 12.

Scottie Stone led Melrose (18-7) with 30 points.

Litchfield entered the day tied for second in the Wright County Conference, but dropped to third place after Delano beat Orono 57-52 on Tuesday.
