MADISON -- Adam Paulson went 5-for-6 at the free-throw line in the final 1:30 and finished with a game-high 20 points to help Lac qui Parle Valley beat Chokio-Alberta 63-56 in the semifinals of the LQPV Invite Thursday.

LQPV (3-2) will meet Hancock, winners over Minneota, in the championship today at approximately 8 p.m. at Lac qui Parle Valley High School.

Chokio-Alberta started the second half with a 14-2 run after trailing 30-26 at halftime. The Eagles answered with a 12-0 run of their own to take control.

R.J. Strand followed Paulson with 16 points while Brady VanderVelde chipped in 13 more for the Eagles, who shot 50 percent from the field. Phil Rotunda recorded up nine assists, six points and six rebounds.
