Boys Basketball: MACCRAY goes to 14-0

CLARA CITY -- MACCRAY used a 14-2 run to start the second half and broke away from Tracy-Milroy-Balaton as the Wolverines stayed unbeaten by upending the Panthers 64-50 in a Camden Conference boys basketball game Tuesday.

The Wolverines (9-0, 14-0) bolted out of a 22-21 halftime lead by netting 14 of the first 16 points of the second half.

Shaun Condon led all scorers with 20 points for the Wolverines, who cashed 12-of-13 free throws in the second half. Seth Hinrichs had 15 points and 10 rebounds. Tyler Dammann added 11 points and five assists.

Jason Minett made a three-pointer at the end of regulation for Russell-Tyler-Ruthton to force overtime. Dawson-Boyd then made six of eight free-throw shots in the extra period while keeping the Knights scoreless.

Kruiz Lindblad, who made four free throws in overtime, led all scorers with 17 points. Andrew Roiger followed with 12 points and Matt Anderson added 10 more for the Blackjacks.

Junior Ramirez netted a career-high 19 points for Renville County West, but Canby (9-3, 11-5) used its height advantage to overtake RCW (2-7, 3-9) down the stretch.
