Boys basketball: MACCRAY overwhelms Sting

CLARA CITY — Carter Asche scored 18 points and Bailey Boike 16 more to help MACCRAY win its fourth straight Monday as the Wolverines toppled Yellow Medicine East 64-28 in a non-conference game between old 212 Conference rivals.
The Wolverines (14-5) shot just below 50 percent from the field, but they were 19-for-25 (76 percent) from the free throw line.
MACCRAY also had Taylor Thissen net 10 points, Boike pile up 8 rebounds and 4 assists, Asche pull in 8 boards, and Cody Boonstra and Thissen pocket 3 steals each.
Austin Vikander led Yellow Medicine East (1-13) scoring column with 9 points, while Logan DeBlieck chipped in 4 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
