MARSHALL -- It will be MACCRAY vs. Dawson-Boyd, Act III, on Saturday for the Section 3A North Sub-Section championship.

MACCRAY handled Ortonville 84-64 in the sub-section semifinals on Thursday night while the Blackjacks downed Lincoln HI 79-36 in Thursday's other semifinal game, also in Marshall.

MACCRAY improved to 22-6 and Dawson-Boyd is now 25-2. The Camden Conference co-champions played twice during the regular season, with each team winnings on its home court.

"I guess that's the way it should be this year," said Wolverines' head coach Gary Nelson, whose team plays MACCRAY at 8 p.m. Saturday at Southwest Minnesota State.

"It'll be a barnburner and one good team is not going on," Nelson said. "But that's tournament play."

Against Lincoln HI, MACCRAY's Riley Aeikens scored 21 points and had 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Corey Abbas had 13 points and 10 assists, and Brady Boike had 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Alex Wrede played well off the bench, hitting all three of his 3-pointers in the first half and finishing with 9 points.

James Nitz led Ortonville with 14 points.
