Boys Basketball: MACCRAY routs TMB for Camden Conference crown

CLARA CITY -- Corey Abbas netted a season-high 22 points and MACCRAY upended Tracy-Milroy-Balaton for the second time in a week as the Wolverines won the Camden Conference championship Friday by routing the Panthers 84-64.

MACCRAY, winners of the North half of the Camden with a perfect 15-0 record, beat South champion TMB 83-73 last Friday.

Four other Wolverines (22-3) scored in double figures with Riley Aeikens pumping in 19 points, Seth Hinrichs 13 and Brady Boike and Taylor Thissen 12 each.

MACCRAY shot 59 percent (34-for-58) from the field and had a 31-23 advantage in rebounds. Hinrichs grabbed a game-high 13 boards and Boike hooked another nine. Aeikens ignited the offense by handing out 12 assists and Hinrichs also had five steals and three blocks.

Four players scored in double figures for the Panthers (20-3) with Dominic Dolan leading the way with 15 points.

Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City outscored the Mustangs by 15 in the second half after owning a slim 29-28 lead at halftime.

Trever Heining sparked the Falcons (10-14) with his 26 points and 11 rebounds. Logan Jacobs followed with 14 points and Jacob Belgum 12.

Ben Maiers had 12 points and Cole Witter and Mason Clark added 10 more apiece for Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart (6-17).
