Boys basketball: MACCRAY shoots down TMB

CLARA CITY — Nothing makes this game easy like accuracy.
The Wolverines made 18 of 40 field goal attempts — 5 of 11 on three-pointers — and 17 of 22 at the charity stripe (77 percent) to topple Tracy-Milroy-Balaton 58-40 in a Camden Conference game Friday.
The sharpshooting pushed MACCRAY’s record to 7-1 overall and 5-1 in the conference. The Wolverines don’t have much time to celebrate the win as they play at BBE today. MACCRAY is No. 10 and BBE No. 2 in the latest Class A poll.
Cody Boonstra with 17 points, Taylor Thissen 14 and Bailey Boike 10 topped the scoring column.
Asche and Boike combined for 17 rebounds.
Tracy-Milroy-Balaton shot poorly aggregating only 14 points by the haltime buzzer. Parker Lanoue scored 15 points and Brian Fultz 11 for TMB.
