PAYNESVILLE -- Ben Moser, a 6-5 junior, nailed seven 3-pointers in 10 attempts and finished with 35 points as Paynesville shot past Minnewaska Area 91-78 in West Central Conference boys basketball.

Moser had five treys and 23 points by halftime, but the Bulldogs led just 46-45. The junior sharpshooter was also 6 of 6 at the line for the game.

Payneville 6-3 junior Cory Nietsfeld scored 14 of his 26 points in the second half when the Bulldogs pulled away. Derek Stanger added 12 points and eight rebounds.

Ryan Kollman and Jordan Holte had 20 points each for the Lakers.
