NEW LONDON -- New London-Spicer ran away with 96-65 win over Benson in non-conference boys basketball play Tuesday.

The Wildcats (12-1), who used to be in the West Central South with the Braves (6-3), scored 45 points in the first 18 minutes, then recorded 51 in the second half.

Todd Herman led 11 NLS players with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Tim Dreier followed with 19 points, including both Wildcat three-pointers, and seven assists. Mike Danielson added 13 points.

Daniel Fragodt scored 16 points to lead Benson. Tyler Guest, who made four 3-pointers, had 14.
