Boys Basketball: NLS sinks Paynesville to stay unbeaten


NEW LONDON -- New London-Spicer bolted to a 54-32 first-half lead en route to a 80-59 triumph over Payvnesville in West Central Conference boys basketball on Tuesday.

The Wildcats made 5-of-11 three-pointers leading up to intermission.

Todd Herman led NLS with 23 points and six rebounds. Nick Carlson added 15 points, making three treys.

Cory Nietfeld tossed in 23 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for Paynesville. Matt Mergen chipped in with 11 points.
