MACCRAY 80, CMCS 43

MARSHALL -- Top-ranked MACCRAY beat Camden Conference rival Central Minnesota Christian for the third time Saturday as this time the Wolverines won 80-43 in the Section 3A-North quarterfinals at Southwest Minnesota State University.

The unbeaten Wolverines (26-0) will meet No. 4-seed Canby (18-6) in the semifinals Thursday at 6 p.m. back at SMSU. MACCRAY beat Canby by 18 points at home in the season opener.

Minneota and Dawson-Boyd meet in the other semifinal Thursday.

Shaun Condon had 21 points and Dylan Aeikens added another 20 as MACCRAY won by 30-or-more points for the 12th time this season.

Seth Hinrichs finished with a well-rounded game for the Wolverines by piling up 18 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists, four blocks and three steals.

Jordon Daugherty had 15 points and Logan Erickson followed with 12 to pace the Bluejays (7-15).

Four players scored in double figures for Dawson-Boyd with Andrew Roiger pacing the charge with 21 points. Matt Anderson followed with 16, Kruiz Lindblad 14 and Zach Stelter 12.

Anderson also amassed 12 assists and eight steals as the Blackjacks (18-5) shot just over 50 percent from the field while KMS made just 30 percent of its shots.

Marc Beckman had 18 points and Jonah Johnson netted 16 for the Fighting Saints (9-16). Bryan Schlagel grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds.

BOLD, the No. 6 seed, pulled off the biggest upset in the Section 3AA-North boys basketball tournament on Saturday, knocking off No. 3-seeded Tracy-Milroy-Balaton 74-66 in a quarterfinal game in Tracy.

Top-seeded Montevideo beat No. 8 Yellow Medicine East 59-31, No. 4 Minnesota Valley Lutheran held off No. 5 Lac qui Parle Valley 90-85 in two overtimes and No. 2 Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop thwarted No. 7 Redwood Valley 53-50.

BOLD 74, TMB 66

All five of BOLD's scorers netted 10-or-more points as the No. 6-seeded Warriors (12-13) stunned the No. 3 seed.

Kyle Athmann led the charge with 19 points behind four 3-pointers and Shawn Dollerschell followed with 16 points, Brandon Ochs 15, Matt Barvels 14 and Tate Neubauer 10.

Dollerschell added 11 rebounds and Barvels hooked another nine while Neubauer dished out nine assists.

Josh Soupir scored a game-high 20 points for the Panthers (15-8).
