Boys basketball roundup: Benson rallies past Minnewaska

GLENWOOD — Benson erased a five-point deficit at halftime and rallied past Minnewaska 65-62 to stay undefeated on the season Tuesday in Glenwood.

Jacob Goff (21) and Aaron Ahrndt (18) both scored in double-digits for the Braves (1-0, 3-0).

Goff grabbed 8 rebounds, and Ahrndt hit 3 three-pointers.

Zach Maurer racked up 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

Minnewaska’s Austin VerSteeg scored a game-high 25 points with 9 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 three-point shots. The Lakers are 1-2 overall and in conference play.
