The visiting Wolverines owned a slim 27-25 lead at intermission before Canby (6-2, 13-3) outscored MACCRAY 40-32 in the second half to drop the Wolverines to 5-4 in the conference and 6-10 overall.

A balanced attack was the key ingredient in the Lancers’ win as four players scored in double figures, paced by Josh Gallegos with 14 points.

The Jaguars showed why they’re ranked No. 1 in Class A, beating Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, who entered the game 6-1 in the conference, by 40 points.

Brian Goodwin, James Kuefler and Trey Heinsius each picked up 13 points, and Goodwin added 8 assists while Heinsius had 5 steals.

Billy Borgerding and Nick Benton had 10 rebounds each, and Borgerding scored a game-high 17 points to notch a double-double.

The Jaguars next play Saturday at home against Browerville.
