DAWSON — In a possible Section playoff preview, Russell-Tyler-Ruthton got all of its points from its starting five, and the Knights slipped past Dawson-Boyd 72-67 in the Camden Inter-Conference Championship on Friday.

Brett Peterson scored a game-high 24 points and 9 rebounds to lead the Knights, and Brett Vercruysse had 16 points.

Joey Lee paced the Blackjacks (19-5) with 22 points.

Nathaniel Huot had 19 points and four 3-pointers, and Michael Lee had 15 points and 8 rebounds.

The No. 1-seed Blackjacks are off until March 2, when they play in the Section 3A-North tournament against the winner of the Lincoln HI-Renville County West play-in game

RTR, the No. 2-seed in the 3A-South, will face the winner of the Edgerton-Adrian play-in game March 2.

The Dragons won their fifth straight game and for the eighth time in nine games after scorching the net for 48 points in the second half.

Dylan Koll had 17 points and Riley Pater 13 in the second half for Litchfield as the Dragons overcame a 24-20 deficit at halftime. Both Koll and Pater were held to just 2 points in the first half.

Zach Whitchurch added another 15 points behind a trio of three-pointers and Zach Kinny put in 11 more points for Litchfield, which shot 57 percent (25-for-44) from the field. Kinny was an assist shy of a triple-double as the senior guard also racked up 11 rebounds and 9 assists.

Koll added 7 rebounds and Pater 5 assists.

Litchfield (17-5 overall) plays former Wright County Conference rival Watertown-Mayer (15-9) today at 1:30 p.m. at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

The West Central North champion Dutchmen led by 30 points at the half on their way to a 98-39 drubbing of Lac qui Parle Valley.

Scottie Stone collected 38 points and sank seven 3-pointers to lead Melrose (24-1).
