MORRIS — Joey Dreier hit a game-tying 3-pointer with five seconds left in regulation and New London-Spicer dominated the overtime period in a 69-59 win over Morris/Chokio-Alberta on Tuesday.

The Tigers led by four points with 18 seconds to play but failed to convert on free throws.

Conversely, NLS hit 20 of 23 foul shots.

Dreier’s shot tied the game at 57 and the Wildcats outscored MCA 12-2 in the overtime.

Dreier finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds and Aaron Ruter led the Wildcats with 19 points. He also had 5 assists.

MCA’s Austin Dierks scored a game-high 24 points and completed the double-double with 10 rebounds.

Chandler Erickson had 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the Tigers.

Morris/CA plays next at Benson at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

HOLDINGFORD — Brian Goodwin scored 30 points and Billy Borgerding added 17 in BBE’s 73-51 Central Minnesota Conference victory over Holdingford on Tuesday.

The Jaguars improved to 12-0 in the conference and 22-1 overall. They play Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, which is 12-1 in the league, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

James Kuefler scored 7 points and led the Jags with 12 rebounds. Borgerding also had 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.
