The win puts MACCRAY (9-3, 15-5) a half-game out of first place in the North behind the Blackjacks (10-3, 15-4). Dawson-Boyd won the first meeting, 63-51, on Dec. 11 in Clara City.

Neither team shot particularly well from the field Thursday — MACCRAY 40 percent and Dawson-Boyd 31 — but MACCRAY had the edge on free throws made, 13-8, and also made three more 3-pointers than the Blackjacks.

Boike nearly collected a double-double by hooking 9 rebounds, while Cody Boonstra and Carter Asche each scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Thissen also corralled 5 boards.

Joey Lee scored a game-high 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds to pace Dawson-Boyd, which hosts Montevideo today. Nathaniel Huot added 11 points and 4 steals, Kyler Collins 11 rebounds, and Michael Lee 6 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
