BENSON -- Four players and nearly two others scored in double figures for West Central South Conference champion Montevideo Monday to fuel the Thunder Hawks to a 83-44 win over Benson in their conference finale.

Brett Bergeson led the T-Hawks with 15 points while Kyle TeBeest followed with 12, Colton Vien 11 and Phillip Ward 10 to help Montevideo improve to 12-2 in 2012 and 19-5 overall.

Montevideo hosts North champion Melrose on Thursday in the West Central Inter-Conference championship at 7 p.m.

Bergeson and TeBeest both knocked down 4 three-pointers and Vien also had 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

Benson, playing without its leading and No. 3 scorers -- Sam Peterson (injury) and Matt Ahrndt (illness), respectively -- was paced by Logan Connelly's game-high 16 points.
