NEW LONDON -- Erik Tengwall scored 16 of his game-high 22 points in the first half and New London-Spicer went on to defeat Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 68-56 in a West Central North Conference boys basketball game on Friday night.

Aaron Jenny and Jayme Moten delivered 11 points apiece for the Wildcats (11-0, 19-1), who drained eight 3-pointers. Tengwall, who also had six rebounds and eight assists, sank five treys and Moten had three.

Jake Kingston led LPGE (5-6, 7-10) with 16 points and nine rebounds.
